Sami Haidar

Sami boasts an extensive career in the oil and gas industry with a strong academic foundation in petroleum and mechanical engineering M.Sc. & DIC degrees from Imperial College, University of London, and a B.Eng with Honors from Liverpool University.

His career path reflects a deep involvement in various aspects of the energy sector, with a focus on hydraulic fracturing and reservoir evaluation. Notably, he has been a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) since 1981 and even served on the society board during 1992/93 in Egypt.

Contributions to the industry have been recognized with the prestigious SPE 2012 'Production Optimization Award' for the North Sea region. Furthermore, he has shared his expertise and insights through multiple published papers and presentations within the SPE community.

In terms of professional experience, he held key roles with Halliburton, BP, and founded StimWell Services Ltd. where he presently is the Managing Director. StimWell Services Ltd. is a company that undertook a groundbreaking initiative by converting the Island Patriot into a state-of-the-art stimulation vessel in the North Sea. This vessel has successfully executed over 300 proppant fracture treatments and acid treatments.

His career also includes a pivotal period as part of an exchange program between Halliburton and BP, during which he gained valuable experience in hydraulic fracturing, well test analysis, and forecasting in the North Sea, and were instrumental in coordinating and supervising propped fracturing treatments for various fields in the southern North Sea.

In leadership roles, such as Regional Technology Advisor and Operations Manager, he displayed exceptional management skills and were responsible for substantial budgets and complex operations. His work has extended across different regions, including the Middle East and Egypt, contributing to enhanced production and the implementation of novel technologies.

Bjorn Strandos

Bjorn have a diverse and accomplished career spanning several decades in the maritime and engineering industries, and possesses a strong educational foundation, extensive experience, and a proven track record in various key roles. His journey begins with an education as a Sergeant in the Norwegian Coastal Artillery, followed by an engineering degree with a specialization in production and economy from Gjøvik Tekniske Fagskole.

His professional journey includes experience as a shipbuilder, sales engineer, and project engineer in reputable shipyards across Norway. Then he transitioned to a global role as a Sales Manager/Projects with a focus on submarine telecommunication cables and the operation of cable-laying vessels. This diverse maritime experience led to roles as a Sales Engineer/Project Manager in a Danish shipyard where he contributed to its development from a newbuilding shipyard to a repair shipyard.

Additionally, he dedicated time as an educator in IT and economy at Aalborg University, sharing his knowledge with the next generation. Subsequently, he ventured into entrepreneurship as the Managing Director and Owner of VMS Technology AS, focusing on the design, construction, and maintenance of marine vessels and offshore structures.

His commitment to the maritime industry is further demonstrated through his role as Managing Director of Maritime Composite Vessels AS, where they played a pivotal part in sales and projects for composite vessels.

In recent years, he have taken on the role of Chief Technical Officer at VMS Group, contributing to the development of strategic areas within the engineering department.

His career has evolved to encompass the current position as Owner and Managing Director of EWX A/S, where he focus on engineering, projects, and the development of renewable energy technologies to reduce environmental impact and enhance energy efficiency in the maritime industry.
